Hera was the goddess of women and marriage. As well as being the wife of Zeus, she was also he sister.

She is the daughter of Cronus and Rhea. She was the Queen of Marriage, women, childbirth, heirs, kings and empires.

She was known for her jealous and vengeful nature, mostly against Zeus' lovers and offspring, but also against mortals who crossed her.

She is usually depicted as beautiful women wearing a crown and veil and holding a royal, lotus-tipped staff.

Her symbols are the pomegranate, the peacock/peacock feather and the royal staff.

Her sacred animals are the cow, the peacock, the lion and the Cuckoo.
