The Good (Clint Eastwood), the Bad (Lee Van Cleef), and the Ugly (Eli Wallach) face off in a cemetery at the end of the movie. The Good kills the Bad as the Ugly realizes his gun isn't loaded. Then the Good forces the Ugly to stand atop a rickety wooden cross with a noose around his neck. As the Good rides away he shoots the noose, freeing the Ugly. The name of the legless actor who played "half-soldier" remains elusive.
