The Gillikins. The Land of the North is aka Gillikin Country, and it's color is purple. It's under the rule of the Good Witch of the North, who remains nameless in the book The Wizard of Oz. In the movie version, her title and her country are given to Glinda, whom author and Oz series originator Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856-May 5, 1919] called the Good Witch of the South in his book. In the stage version of his book, Baum gave the Good Witch of the North the name Locasta.
"The Marvelous Land of Oz" is the first sequel to "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."Specifically, Lyman Frank Baum (May 15, 1856 - May 6, 1919) published "The Wizard of Oz" in 1900. That it is an adventure story that has compelling actions, characters and dialogues as well as a happy ending is why I recommend "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."Specifically, author and Oz series originator Lyman Frank Baum (May 15, 1856 - May 6, 1919) presents the adventures of a brave young girl in a sometimes beautiful, sometimes unpleasant magical land. He offers exciting personalities who represent a range of personalities, from the kindest to the less pleasant. His descriptions and dialogues always keep his audience interested and wanting to hear and see more.

An anachronism might be something that wasn't possible at the stipulated time. Or it might be an error in calculating time. The original 1900 book edition of 'The Wizard of Oz' included many fanciful happenings that weren't possible at the time that author and Oz series originator Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1854-May 6, 1919] wrote the book. In fact, they still haven't become realities. For example, houses still haven't been built to surf a cyclone and land in a beautiful, enchanted, magical land.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was the book that the movie was based on. There is a series of books with many more adventures of Dorothy and other characters in the land of Oz.
