Then in the final series of the Avengers was Linda Thorson - As the high kicking Miss Tara King The series ended at the end of the 6th series but was "re-invented in 1976 when the lead was again John Steed - Patrick Macnee (old man now) Gareth Hunt as the macho side kick and Joanna Lumley as Purdy (side kick 2) The series ran for a 1 duration of about 26 episodes.
