Well, honey, "Wicked Jr." doesn't exist. It's like asking if Bigfoot wears designer shoes. There's "Wicked" for the big kids and "The Wizard of Oz" for the little ones. So, pick your poison and enjoy the show!

Gregory Maguire is a fictional character from the novel "Wicked," and he is not portrayed as the biological father of the character known as the Jailer. In the story, the Jailer is a separate character who plays a role in the events surrounding Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. The relationship dynamics in "Wicked" are complex, but they do not establish any familial ties between Maguire and the Jailer.
In the musical "Wicked," Nessarose, also known as the Wicked Witch of the East, is in a wheelchair due to a congenital disability. This condition affects her mobility and influences her character throughout the story, highlighting themes of isolation and the struggle for power. Her disability is key to her complex relationship with her sister Elphaba and ultimately plays a significant role in her character's development and the narrative's exploration of societal perceptions of disability.

In the musical 'Wicked', Elphaba is a freshman in college. We therefore assume she is around 18. But, she is three years older than her sister, Nessarose. It is both their first year at college, so she could be around twenty-one, or Nessa could go to college early at fifteen or sixteen, meaning Elphaba is eighteen or nineteen. However, in the second act, we see it is much later after she had 'Defied Gravity' and turned against the Wizard. This could be days, months, or even years afterwards.

Idina Menzel did it originally, but there have been others play Elphaba too. Here are some: Carmen Cusack, Alexia Khadime, Kerry Ellis, Nicole Sexton, Lisa Bresica, Vicki Noon, Shoshana Bean, and Eden Espinosa. There's more too, but i dont remember them all. Dee Riscoli currently plays Elphaba.
