Alison Parker (Courtney Thorne-Smith) was the roommate of Natalie Miller, in the original 1992 series. She started off as a receptionist at D&D Advertising and ended up having Billy Campbell (Andrew Shue) as a roommate and then they slowly built a relationship around the same time Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear) entered the show and created a love triangle.
Alison began drinking heavily after her former married boyfriend, Keith, shot himself during a phone conversation with her, post-stalking.
Season two ended with a non-wedding between her and Billy, after she remembered her father had molested her and her sister, Meredith, when they were children. She flew to San Francisco to be with Meredith, leaving Billy confused. After Meredith wouldn't confront their father, Alison managed to do it when she flew back to Wisconsin.
Billy ended up marrying Brooke Armstrong, which depressed Alison, and left her drunk at the apartment where there was a bomb that went off which left her temporarily blind. She eventually married Haley, Brooke's father, but he died while they were on a boat together.
Alison started dating Jake Hanson (who was the original spin-off character from Beverly Hills, 90210) after she left D&D Advertising and started to work at Jake's bar, Shooters (the local hang out) but after she discovered she couldn't have children, which she knew he wanted, she made him believe she went back to drinking so he would get back together with his ex, Colleen Patterson - the mother of his child, David.
In a year that saw many original characters depart, Alison had her farewell with Billy who was too late to change her mind as she moved to Atlanta to start fresh.
A season later at a later time slot she was now named Georgia, married to Billy and boxing Ally McBeal.
