Ben-Hur is a fictional account of a rich merchant in the province of Judea during the Roman rule, Before Christ (B.C.) & his story proceeds on his travails with Jesus Christ from his birth till his crucifixion, the Christ's story is told in parallel with the main story of Judah Ben-Hur. His bitter enmity with his long time friend with a General in the Roman army, falling apart as a result of Ben's belief in a new concept of Christianity, a messiah sent by God as the redeemer. The Novel written by Lee Wallace titled Ben Hur won the Pulitzer, also an epic film based on this book of the same title made in 1959 went on to win 11 Oscars from 12 nominations starring Charlton Heston as Judah Ben-Hur.
