What year did Lena Martell have her tv show?

Her regular BBC1 series on Saturday night's began in 1971 and ran over a ten year period. She had several `specials' as well from the late sixties onwards and also appeared on many, many shows on ITV and BBCtv as a guest singer. He had BBC radio 2 series as well. Lena appeared regularly on TV through to the early 1980's and also of course on Top of the Pops five times in 1979 when she had a number one single and a number 2 platinum album following her midweek TV series - Lena's Music. She appeared in several TV commercials for her big selling albums. her TV career began on STV and the on ITV's `Find a singer' in the mid 1950's where she was `discovered' as Helen Thompson - the name she uses to write songs. The X factor of it's day with the bandleader Lou Preger. Her Change of name came in 1960 when the compere of a London nightclub forget her surname and looking down saw a brandy bottle and announced Ladies and Gentlemen Miss Lena ....Martell! Lena still has DVD's and records on the market and at 71 is still touring the UK and appears on radio shows from time to time.
