The Janjaweed were attacking the Africans of Sudan (South Darfur)
The conflict is very complex, but the basic information is the following: African Christians and Animists in the Darfur region of Sudan were relentlessly attacked, raped, and butchered by the Arab Janjaweed militias in a systematic way and were endorsed by the government of Sudan to engage in this behavior.
nothing they were not in any way in the genocide of darfur nothing they were not in any way in the genocide of darfur
Leaders in Darfur firstly was asking for autonomy and full control of their economy (having in mind abundance of gas and petroleum). This was not approved by Sudanese Govt. Years passed and at point Darfurians organized themselves and demanded freedom for their territory. Sudan at all not liked it. Started arresting and harrousment. Darfurians revolted, took some arms in their own hand. Then Sudanese Govt (President Umr Al Bashar), created and sponsored Janjaweed Militia. In 2003, having the support with arms and money the Janjaweed (also backed by Sudanese Army) launched attacks to kill the people indiscremenantly. This is the beginning of mass killing, diplacement of ordinary people, burning, raping..and more. This is genocide!
Feel like as everyone of us, as we are not there in Darfur. But in a broader sense, Its a genocide, recognised. We have to raise our voice to stop it. Do it pls.

The genocide in Darfur occurred in the western region of Sudan, specifically within three states: North Darfur, South Darfur, and West Darfur. The violence primarily affected rural areas, including towns and villages, where ethnic groups such as the Fur, Masalit, and Zaghawa faced brutal attacks from government forces and militia groups known as Janjaweed. The conflict escalated significantly after 2003, leading to widespread displacement and atrocities against civilians.

Yes, its a genocide
the janjaweed is killing the black tribe in darfur and they are supported by the sudan governoment
The genocide in Darfur, which began in 2003, was primarily fueled by ethnic tensions and competition for resources between predominantly Arab militia groups, known as Janjaweed, and non-Arab ethnic communities. The Sudanese government supported the Janjaweed in a campaign to suppress a rebellion against its rule, leading to widespread atrocities, including mass killings, sexual violence, and displacement. The conflict was exacerbated by long-standing issues such as poverty, drought, and land disputes, which intensified the grievances of marginalized groups against the central government. Ultimately, the genocide was a result of a complex interplay of political, ethnic, and economic factors.
