Whose funeral is Charlie attending when Edward calls in New Moon?

He is attending the funeral ofHarry Clearwater. Husband of Sue, and father to Seth and Leah. He was, as well as Billy, Charlies best friend. Edward misinterprets it when Jacob says, "he's at the funeral" and he thinks that it is Bella's, causing him to go to 'The Volturi'.

Edward Cullen doesn't go to any funeral in Eclipse. In New Moon, Harry Clearwater dies and Edward calls because he thinks that Bella is dead because Rosalie saw Bella jumped off a cliff and died. He is then back in town, to find Bella. He calls the house, when Jacob and Bella were there and Jacob picked up, not letting Bella answer the phone. Edward poses as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, as so Jacob thought, and asked, "Where is Charlie?" and Jacob responded, "At the funeral."

Edward thought that Charlie was at Bella's funeral. After this, he was so upset that he traveled to Italy, where The Volturi was, and wanted them to kill him because he couldn't live without Bella. When Alice came to help Bella, Jacob wanted Bella to stay with him, but Bella said no and went to Italy with Alice. Alice could see the future and saw that The Volturi would say no.

Then, Alice saw another vision. He would walk out into the sunlight and reveal himself, which was the most dangerous idea. The Volturi would want to kill Edward for exposing himself, as so Edward thought. Bella has to run in through a bunch of doors, occasionally asking where to go to the guards, and things like that. Finally, she finds Edward and stops him. He doesn't kill himself. He goes to no funeral in Eclipse.
