Because he fell in love with their way of life and it was the place where he belonged
Lol. First of all their not avatars they are NA'VI's, and the leader of the Omaticya is Eytukan, but now Jake sully is because he died from the exsplosion when the RDA were blowing up Home tree, a peice of wood went into him. A sad death. =(
By assuming an avatar body, Jake Sully was able to interact with the native Na'vi as "one of them". He hoped this would ease diplomatic tensions.
It didn't have one. By the way, they were not dragons; the smaller ones with the wierd chins were called "banshees (plural)" or "ikran (plural and singular)." the bigger ones were called "great leonopteryx (singular; for plural add '-es')" or "toruk." For the the other answer from before, "Toruk Macto" was the Na'vi name for any Na'vi that rode a great leonopteryx.
The Na'vi have several words to refer to humans, especially ones that are in avatar bodies. When Jake first encounters Tsu'tey, Tsu'tey refers to him as a vrrtep, or demon. When Neytiri first arrives at Hometree with Jake, her father and clan leader Eytukan asks her why she brings this swirä, or creature. The word uniltìrantokx, meaning dreamwalker body, is used to refer to an avatar. The Na'vi call a human Tawtute, or Sky Person.

Navi Data chips are found in their Battle Starter pack. There is one for each NetNavi in the game that is key to the story. Just know that they can be rare and some Navi Data Chips are next to impossible to find.

No he did not, but they permanently transplanted his soul to his Avatar so that he can live in Pandora without getting poisoned by it's atmosphere. his human body dies because to transfer from one body to another you have to die and come back again. Neytiri removes his oxygen mask and he dies his soul is then returned but to his avatar body.
