No, the rivers Narmada and Tapi do not form deltas. This is because they arise from the Western Ghats and there is not much plain or flat land for the rivers to form a delta. They quickly empty into the Arabian sea, not giving any time to slow down and bifurcate into tributaries.

its not just Narmada, tapti n all other west flowing rivers that descend the western ghats have no deltas.....there are two explanations

1).rocky terrain of the western ghats does not allow the rivers to spread out much, n there is not sufficient plain stretch of land between the Arabian sea and western ghats for Narmada to slowdown n bifurcate into distributries.

2)lost delta hypothesis...now this might sound conspicuous ,but the sea levels before the melting of last ice age were much lower n the west cost of India was situated much further of its present location...it is sugested by observing the ocean floor off the Narmada estury that the river did indeed have a delta which was engulfed by the rising sea levels...
