The likely cause of this is that, simply, you do not have the correct plug ins in your web browser. You may be able to get them by going to the website and allowing a certain installation, etc. Possibly you can also go to the company's website and download the specific plug in.

First, make sure that CNN uses Flash. I'm sure it does, almost all internet video is either Quicktime, Windows, or Flash-based. Make sure that you also installed Flash player again. Also download it directly from their site. That way you KNOW that you're getting the latest and greatest version of the player. Try using Safari, Firefox, Camino (a personal favorite, you might wanna try it, Camino is probably the friendliest browser on the Mac).

Most news websites offer video clips on current topics, including NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN. Alternatively, news video clips occasionally make it onto Youtube, especially if they are unusually memorable.
