Theban King Creon issued a decree that was counterproductive to the well-being of his city and his family. By that decree, he denied the god-given rights of proper burial to those who had fought against Thebes in the recent battle with the Argive enemy. The King issued such a decree to give preferential treatment to Thebans who had remained loyal to Thebes. For Creon felt that once an enemy, always an enemy. It didn't matter if that enemy started out in life as a relative, friend or fellow Theban. And so the King didn't want foes to be treated as well as friends.
According to the messenger, Theban King Creon has become a walking dead man. The King once had a brilliant military record that brought defeat to the forces from Argos and their Theban collaborators. Creon once had the love and respect of his people, friends and family. But the loss of the respect of his people, and of the love of his family and friends, make King Creon a 'breathing corpse'.
I don't know your situation, but you can do anything as long as both parties agree. What I mean by both parties is mother and father. If mother and father agree, and the 16 year old wants to live with her father for a year, then it is OK. If the parents do not agree, then a court hearing may be necessary to hear both sides and decide what is best for your daughter. Being that your daughter is 16, she will have some say in court as well.
If you are speaking to (or calling) your own father you say dede (day-day)."My father" is nindedem."Father" is oosimaa.
You can say it both ways.
no matter how old the father doesn't really have a say its up to the woman and its her final decision like an abortion. The father cannot say anything. JJ3001
Tiresias believes Creon has separated them from the gods due to Creon not burying the body of Polynecies. Antigone was written by Sophocles.
