I wondered as I watched several of his movies, why Hopalong Cassidy wears only one black leather glove on his left hand. In the movie "Borrowed Trouble," he gets into a gunfight. He wears the glove to protect his left hand when he fans his .45 Colt revolver! And now YOU know why.

Does a left handed glove go on your left hand or does that mean if you are left handed get this glove?

If you are left handed, you throw the baseball with your left hand, so in this case the left handed glove goes on a left handed persons right hand so they catch with glove on right hand and then pull the ball out of mitt and throw with left hand. - It means if you are left handed get this glove but you will wear it on your right hand.

Who was Hopalong Cassidy' sidekick in TV series?

"Hoppy" and his white horse, Topper, usually traveled through the west with two companions-one young and trouble prone with a weakness for damsels in distress, the other comically awkward and outspoken.[1] The juvenile lead was successively played by James Ellison, Russell Hayden, George Reeves, and Rand Brooks. George Hayes (later to become known as "Gabby" Hayes) originally played Cassidy's grizzled sidekick, Windy Halliday. After Hayes left the series because of a salary dispute with producer Harry Sherman, he was replaced by the comedian Britt Wood as Speedy McGinnis and finally by the veteran movie comedian Andy Clyde as California Carlson. Clyde, the most durable of the sidekicks, remained with the series until it ended. Source: Wikipedia

He was born without his right hand. He would pitch with his left hand and in one fluid motion transfer his glove onto his left hand after releasing the pitch.
