Firstly, Sean Connery portrayed Bond as a suave, witty, ladies man, with a serious side. Next, Roger Moore portayed Bond in a campy nature, focusing on the ladies man aspect of the character. George Lazenby portrayed Bond for one film, and didn't change much. Timothy Dalton then took on the role, and made Bond a far more serious individual, much more pessimistic than before. Pierce Brosnan became Bond in the blockbuster, "Goldeneye" in 1995. He regained the balance that Sean Connery tried to achieve, but the fantastical nature of the films he was in kept him from achieving the same impact Connery had. Finally, Daniel Craig, the current James Bond, has much in common with Dalton's performances, as a more serious, calculating individual.
