My brother is a boyscout, and i was curoius what the percentage was, for how many boyscouts go into the military. Well, I researched on the internet and found out that 7% of Boy Scouts go into the military. Hope that helped! :) P.S I am only 12!
No. As captured by the LM Cockpit recorder, Buzz Aldrin took communion shortly after landing and before the EVA. Armstrong did not participate, but stayed respectfully quiet during Buzz's personal ceremony.
The motto of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is "Be Prepared."
He was a deist. Armstrong rarely if ever publicly discussed his faith, but "First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong" by James R. Hansen, describes him as a deist, although his mother was a Methodist. The most direct evidence for this was when he applied to lead a Boy Scout group in the late 1950s, writing in "Deist" for his religious affiliation. There is a persistent rumor that Armstrong converted to Islam after his experience on the moon, but this rumor is not only unverified, it has been explicitly denied by Armstrong on numerous occasions.
Neil Armstrong,
Much of Neil Armstrong's interest revolved around aircraft and around flying them. He was an Eagle Scount (Boy Scouts of America), and completed a number of projects to earn his awards, but flight and flying machines were his primary interests.
The boy scouts still ban openly gay adults to join the scouts.
He was a typical kid while gowing up. He never got into any criminal or illegal activities. Armstrong was always engaged in activities that kept him out of trouble, such as the Boy Scouts and flying.

I would recomend it.
Officially no, homosexuals cannot join the Boy Scouts as scouts or adult leaders, although some Troops may not enforce that rule.

Yes. the only requirement pertaining to religion is a belief in a god. Also the child cannot be homo/bisexual. The boy scout organization is a very closed minded group so it may not be the best idea for him to join although completely acceptable.

To joins the BSA ("Boy Scouts") you must be a boy who is 11 years old, or one who has completed the fifth grade or earned the Arrow of Light Award and is at least 10 years old, but is not yet 18 years old. There is another progam, Venturing, for people who are a little older, from 14-21. Cub Scouts usually start in the first grade.
Adult females can be Boy Scout leaders and females aged 14-21 can be Venture scouts, which is a part of the BSA. Scouting ages females cannot join the Boy Scouts.
