Abby hated Ziva because she replaced Caitlin 'Kate' Todd. Abby and Kate were friends and they were close, when she got killed in season 2 episode 23 'Twilight' by Ari Haswari, she was very upset.
When Ziva came she showed dislike towards her for some time until later seasons were she came to like Ziva.
