No one seems to know if Hodges has left TMZ, he just simply does not appear on the show. Max was one of the very memorable faces of TMZ with an awesome sense of humor. It is one thing that we don't have answers as to why he is not with TMZ any longer (would love to know why) but just one day was not there with no explanation to any of the devoted viewers that he is "officially gone". Thanks to TMZ, we are not being told that, which is just a very wrong thing for them to do. I will no longer tune in to the show.
