When the Titanic hit the ice cap the bottom started to leak first which happened to be where the saftey equiptment was. The water was freezing so if they went down they may have escaped drowning and died of nuemonia instead, either way they would have died.

∙ 8y agoThere weren't enough lifeboats to accommodate all of the passengers. The lifeboats combined could only carry half of the ship's maximum capacity. Plus, many of the lifeboats were only half-full for fear of extra weight swamping the ship. When the ship completely went down, many crew members who were manning the 20 lifeboats didn't want to go back to help the people. After consolidating passengers into other lifeboats, two of them were free to carry more people. But at that time, very nearly everyone who was in the water died from hypothermia. Only a few out of more than 1,500 people were pulled out of the water, but half of them still died from hypothermia after being pulled out

Because of the lifeboats carrying less people
2AnswerActually, about 711 people "survived". A few lost, so they were guessed as survived, and some escaped on lifeboats. The plot of the movie Titanic is completely fake, except for the boat sinking.
I think it might be. There are very many people who you see dead and dying so it is very sad, I wouldn't recommend it for younger kinds.
Many people died when the boat sank because the structure of the boat was not very solid and not well made.
it was a very big ship and people thought it was unsinkable it was a very big ship and people thought it was unsinkable
As many people as there was on the ship but some people wouldn't even put them on [those people were mostly men] and they were called life protecters. The water temperature in the North Atlantic meant that they provided only momentary protection. Without rescue vessels on standby, they probably had only ten minutes added to their lifetimes.
In the Titanic they had millions of people and staff they had very expensive stuff!! : ]
Most scientists believe that not many people could survive a shark attack because they are very aggressive.

Not for very long. People cannot survive for very long without water, anywhere.
people were killed because water entered into the ship. it is very sad
Not very well...
not many people with diseases in the camps survived for very long.

That is probably because RMS Titanic was said to be unsinkable. It was supposed to be impossible for it to sink, but it did. It was also a big disaster because very many people lost their life in the accident.
