In the movie it didn't tell but in the book it said that Bree was complaining about Bella's scent and Jane got tired of her and killed her but I personally think that Carlisle and Esme wanted to keep Bree and raise her for good, she did not want to kill the Cullens that's why she surrendered, so they wanted to hide her but they knew if they did and the Volutri found out they all would die, so they brought Bree along about the meeting about Bella being human and they ended up killing her in a TOTALLYdifferent scene then they did in the movie
