I think that they just get tired of studying our planet and want something new to explore. I mean if i looked at the same thing my whole life id want something new to learn about.
Man has always been curious about those wandering lights in the sky ("planet" means wanderer from the Greek language).
Assuming you mean "outer space", those people are called astronomers.
Spectrograph.
Astronomers once believed that planets were probably rare and unusual, and that tere might not be very many planets. However, recent discoveries indicate that planets are far more common; in fact, almost every star that astronomers have closely observed is discovered to have some planets! So it is likely that the "furthest planet in our galaxy" is on the other side of the galaxy from the Earth. The Milky Way galaxy has a radius of about 40,000 light years, and our solar system is about 3/4 of the way out from the center. So the "furthest planet in our galaxy" is probably somewhere near 70,000 light years away.
India astronomers recognized that the earth was a sphere.
Two reasons. (1) Such planets are very dim, from our point of view. Some of the planets in our own Solar System look roughly as bright as the brightest stars; now imagine them at least 100,000 times farther - that would make them 10 billion times dimmer, from our point of view. (2) Such planets are very close to their star - once again, from our point of view, i.e., considering the angular distance.
Teams of astronomers have studies all possible planets.
Telescopes.
Astronomers
Astronomers (and their ilk) study stars and planets.
Because they study many planets and their geography and atmosphere, in Earth Science you study the geology of Earth just like Astronomers study geology of other planets.
Astronomers or Meteorologists
Astronomers
Because there is still much to learn
Yes. Astronauts do study the moon. In particular, Astronomers study the planets, stars and outer space.
Yes, they do.
Because you study earth and science and astronomy is study of stars and planets. So I think astronomers are a scientist of earth dont you!:)
Because the ancient Greek astronomers were one of the first astronomers to discover the planets. As they looked at the planets over time they moved into different places. The planets seemed o orbit the Sun so the Greek astronomers called them planets, which meant :wanderers.
