Why do juveniles commit crimes?

They think it's cool or fun. They have no idea what stupid things they are doing, usually.

Some people have mental issues, so they do evil things. It's hard to help themselves, but really, they still have control over themselves.

Some people find it necessary, or fair, because life is hard for them and they are poor. Others do it to get attention from their parents, like Piper McLean from The Lost Hero.

My advice to you: Never commit a crime, even if you are in a tough situation.

They may also get bad grades and want to take it out on someone or even be a member of a gang. There are many possibilities and so if you are a parent be on the look out for odd behavior in your kid and try talking to them about improving their lives. Make them feel like they belong and you could try to help them get better grades or even help them with a project. Parents, don't make your kid feel left out. Jump on helping your kids now.

Disobeying parents instructions is also a contributing factor to criminal activities. Plenty youths tend to go their own way all the time thinking they are more educated and thought they are grown up to do any thing they wish to do.

Disrespecting the laws in societies is also a cause to high youth crimes. They thought these laws were only put in place to ignore them in the intire community and so they decide to broke them.
