I would say that if people have seen it in theaters and really enjoyed the movie might want to watch it again. Some people may not want to go to theaters and want to be in there own home. Some can not afford to go to theaters.

∙ 14y agoIt costs a lot to advertise and release a film into theaters. If a company doesn't think it will be profitable, it goes direct to DVD.
