The constitution makers of our country were worried that in an open electoral competition , certain weaker sections may not stand a good chance to get elected to the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies . They may not have required resources yo win the elections . if that happens our country will be considered as a less democratic country. So, the makers of our constitutions thought of a system of reserved constituencies for the weaker section.
