They do it for 2 reasons: Money and experience. Which will serve them well in the future. You should do the same!

For instance, your friends with a guy. You hang out together and have fun, going out here and there as friends. Begin to gain trust between each other and feel as if you can talk just about anything. When the summer comes you two continue to talk here and there but when school comes (college), he begins to ignore you and stop talking and are confused and then basically end the relationship of being friends. And when he gives up too, so you you think, and you give up, he notices and starts talking online again, then sitting with friends and then talking to you in person again? Why I don't know, and that is what makes women confused, as to what should they do? Be friends again with the guy or not? But either way he is trying to get her back, perhaps by playing mind games.

This is my summer before college for the first time and I can honestly say that I have one true friend and a good boyfriend from high school. (knock on wood) I have a few more "friends" but we probably won't hang out this summer, everyone's kind of doing their own thing :) I still feel lucky to have the people I do have in my life.
