When riding a fast elevator upward, the sensation of increased weight is due to the elevator's acceleration, which adds to the force of gravity acting on your body. According to the equivalence principle, this experience is similar to being in a gravitational field; the acceleration mimics an increased gravitational pull. Conversely, as the elevator slows down at the end of the trip, you feel lighter because the upward acceleration decreases, akin to being in a reduced gravitational field. This demonstrates how acceleration and gravity can produce similar effects on perceived weight.

It's a ride. You'll go up high in a building that looks like the tower from the movie, and then you'll reach the elevator(s). When you get in, you'll sit down in a chair and be strapped down very well. After the ride starts, it'll drop very fast for a little bit; then go back up. Then it'll drop again; then go back up. After a little while, it'll drop very fast and for a long distance, which is the highlight of the ride. If you weren't strapped down in this ride, you'd go flying into the air and hit the ceiling. It's not good for the faint of heart, or anyone with health issues. It's a lot of fun and kind of scary at first (:

The King Kong ride at Universal Studios Hollywood burned down in 2008 due to a fire that originated from a nearby construction area. The blaze was exacerbated by strong winds and quickly spread to the ride, causing extensive damage. Fortunately, the fire was contained, and no injuries were reported. The ride was ultimately closed and later rebuilt as part of the theme park's ongoing renovations.
ELEVATOR
Either for elevator and on for escalator, since you can't be in it.
You can think of the ride down as the integer -2. So if you are on the 6th floor and you add -2 you end up on the 4th floor.
I say Tower of terror elevator where you fall 13 stories straight down.

The spring elevator mechanism in modern buildings works by using a system of springs and counterweights to move the elevator car up and down. When the elevator car is loaded with passengers or cargo, the springs and counterweights help to balance the weight and make the movement smoother and more efficient. This system allows the elevator to operate with less energy and provides a more comfortable ride for passengers.
The average elevator ride to the top of a building can vary widely depending on the height of the building, the speed of the elevator, and any stops it makes along the way. In general, it can take anywhere from 30 seconds to several minutes.
