The lImit is the limit, like the limit to get in at Kindegarten. American Idol make this young of an age because they want younger people to enjoy the beginnings of their lives in their dreams and grow and become "the ultimate star". Does that make sense? Sory, but if you DID want to partcipate, there's always something else, like America's Got Talent. I'll support you. Maybe. :)

∙ 12y agobecause when the teens or people in their twentys win the show, they will be successful for a long time and all the old people who are just going there to joke are just wasting the judges time.but i think they should increase the age limit to about 35 or so but that is just my opinion.also they don't want the unhealthy people on the show.they want the people to sing songs that were not made in the 1940s.but i think they should test all the older people in a separate building with different judges first and then if they think they are good enuf then they should have to take a physical to see if they were healthy enuf to perform.then they can go on to cara , Simon , elen , and randy (the judges that r not gonna be on American idol very much longer).then if they win they should have to take another physical to see if they r healthy still and if they arent then the next runner up wins but if they r then they will.
