Why does Felicia Tilman in Desperate Housewives always wear a black glove on one hand I know she's missing a finger but that doesn't means he has to wear a glove does it?

On the hand which she wears a glove when she wanted to frame Paul Young for supposedly killing her she chopped of two of her fingers. Obviosuly it was later found out she chopped off her own fingers and now as not to freak people out (although she still does) she wears the glove. She wants to be close with Susan too - only to get closer to be able to kill Paul Young so she wears the glove to make Susan more comfertable around her.
Desperate Housewives is an amazing show!
