Narrative Therapy emphasizes that individuals are not defined by their problems; instead, problems are viewed as separate entities that can be addressed and redefined. This perspective allows people to externalize their issues, reducing feelings of shame and blame. By separating the person from the problem, clients can explore their experiences and narratives without being overwhelmed by their challenges, fostering empowerment and agency in their lives. This approach encourages a focus on solutions and personal strengths rather than deficits.

To my knowledge, universities do not have massage therapy degrees. Each state has their own standards as to what is required for a person to practice massage therapy. I'm from Arizona, so I will use it as an example. In AZ, a person must have 700 hours of experience in order to be licensed to practice massage. There are many vocational schools that comply with state standards, and after you go through one of those programs, you can apply for your license. In AZ, you need a passport photo, a fingerprint card, a complete application, and a money order filled out in a certain amount. If you are wanting to be a massage therapist, I suggest you look at your state's standards, and look into a nearby vocational school that teaches massage.
