The Naenae, a model from the New Zealand car manufacturer, was released in 1959. It was produced by the New Zealand subsidiary of the British company, Standard Motor Company. The Naenae was notable for being one of the first cars made in New Zealand.
New Zealand imports a wide range of products across all categories. A significant proportion of imports are those that can not be economically produced in a small population, such as high-tech or highly industrialised products like cars, cameras and clothing. Products similar to those exported by New Zealand are also imported, but in lesser quantities. These are generally food or plant based such as dairy, timber and fruit. New Zealand also exports animals such as cattle and sheep to major stock purchasers around the world.
