Because the gearbox only functions properly at certain temperature's and weather conditions. It works best at cool dry weather but in hot humidity and frigid temperature around or below freezing. Its mostly because of the not top par radiator. Keep fluids levels at the correct spot and u have a chance of getting it to Top Gear (but not top speed)
Any engine will run if the timing is only a tooth out of time. It just won't run well. It probably will have no power, or run rough.
being in top gear means you cant shift no more and means your going fast as your bike will allow and by bottom gear you mean low gear which means your in lowest gear possible.
It is possible that your battery and\or alternator has failed. You have to have so much juice to get the safety switch to kick on so that you can move the gear shifter. Put in a new battery or charge the battery and I bet it will solve this. You should be able to take the key out any way. Good luck.
just saw it on sports relief
first clutch the spin gear.then launch the beyblade.it will start automatically
Perhaps something in the gear shift that turns on the lights when in reverse position.
The gear shift lamp on a 2006 Toyota Corolla can be replaced by taking apart the gear shift plate and replacing the bulb. This can be a very complicated procedure. The top of the gear shift plate is held on by clips at the front and back.
check the CV joints or the transmission is slipping
In Toyota rav4 2002 why the doors lock when shift the gear to P position?
How can you change the light bulb for the gear shift on a 2002 Toyota Camry?
It reads Shift Lock Release. When the car is in park you can only select another gear with engine running and foot on brake. This button allows you to shift in other cases. Either if your gearbox doesn't 'read' the car is running or brake is on through a fault or if you want to move the lever while car is off (installing a stereo).
I need to repair the gear shift cable in side a 2000 toyota corolla. How do you get in side the gear shift box to repair the cable end?
Change it every 75,000 miles.
The proper transmission fluid for an automatic Celica is Toyota Type T-IV transmission fluid. DO NOT use Dexron or Mercon. The manual uses 75W-90 gear oil.
Turn the steering wheel hard in the same direction the wheels are pointing while the key in on then try to move the selector. This can happen if there is tension on the steering while as the vehicle was put into park.
Sell it
If memory serves me correctly the speedometer is driven by a gear which is on the transmission, looking down from the top of the engine (below the airbox) should be a 2 wire sensor which is screwed into the transmission case.
