If there be no force ie no deceleration then no need to apply any force to compensate such a deceleration. But deceleration is there due to frictional force between the tyre and the road. Hence to compensate this we have apply acceleration. So force is needed

OK Physics laws State that an object in motion will remain in motion until acted upon by an outside force. The car moving at a constant speed is being acted upon by wind resistance, gravity, and friction. Therefore force is needed to retain the constant speed

What propels a photon of light thru space for billions of miles?

You don't need to "propel" something, once it is already moving. The natural tendency is for a moving object to continue moving. It requires a force to STOP a moving object, but not to keep it moving at a constant speed. Now, light behaves not just as a particle (photon) but also as a wave; but I believe that the general principle is still the same.

What happpens to a car moving at a constant speed as it turns a corner?

The car undergoes a change in velocity. It accelerates (and does so at a constant rate - if the rate of turn is constant) in the direction of the turn. The speed is constant, but the direction the car is going changes at each instant in time because it is turning. And because it is changing direction, that means its velocity is changing (because velocity is speed plus a direction vector).

Why should a prime mover's speed be kept constant?

As you asked the question and it was added it to the electrical category I am presuming that you are talking about electrical generation. The prime mover has to be kept at a constant speed. The speed of the prime mover governs the frequency of the voltage generated. As the load increases the engine will start to slow down. The engine's speed governor senses this drop in RPM, hence the drop in frequency, and increases the fuel supply to the engine by advancing the diesel engine's fuel rack. This action increases the engine speed and brings the generated frequency back to the required system frequency. Also as the load increases, the output voltage will start to decrease. The output voltage is controlled by the generator's voltage regulator. When the decrease in voltage is sensed by the voltage regulator, it increases the generator's field excitation voltage which will bring the voltage back to the required system voltage. These actions are going on continuously, balancing each other all the time the engine is running and the generator is producing an output voltage.

What do you mean when we talk about a constant speed?

No. Circular motion can have constant speed but varying velocity. Constant speed means constant speed in any direction, like a car on cruise control turning a corner. Constant velocity means constant speed in a straight line. If the direction changes, that's considered a change in velocity.

What is the relationship between motion and human movement?

Force isn't required to keep something moving. But force is the only wayto change the speed or direction of motion.

What is the net force on a car moving in a straight line which a constant speed?

The net force on a car moving at a constant speed in a straight line is zero. This is because the forces acting on the car, such as friction and air resistance, are balanced by the force produced by the engine to maintain the constant speed.

How do you compute the force of a given mass at a constant speed?

The force on a mass moving at a constant speed and direction is 0.

When a lorry is moving at a constant speed what force on the lorry are balenced?

When a lorry is moving at a constant speed, the driving force provided by the engine is balanced by the resistive forces acting against it, such as friction, air resistance, and road resistance. This equilibrium allows the lorry to maintain a constant speed.

If a car moving at a constant speed up a ramp?

If a car is moving at a constant speed up a ramp, the force propelling the car up the ramp is equal and opposite to the force of gravity pulling it down the ramp. This means that the net force acting on the car is zero, allowing it to maintain a constant speed. This scenario is possible if the car's engine power matches the force of gravity.

What are the effects of this fuel consumption and the need for streamlining if the force from the engine is moving at a constant speed?

Frequent fuel consumption can lead to high costs and environmental impact due to increased emissions. Streamlining reduces drag on the vehicle, improving fuel efficiency. If the force from the engine is moving at a constant speed, streamlining helps maintain that speed more efficiently.

Do balanced or unbalanced forces cause a moving object to continue moving at a constant speed?

A balanced force will not cause a moving object to change its constant speed. It's an unbalanced force that would either speed up or slow down the moving object.

What forces on a lorry are balanced when it is moving at a constant speed?

When a lorry is moving at a constant speed, the driving force from the engine is balanced by the resistive forces such as friction with the road, air resistance, and any incline or decline on the road. These balanced forces result in no net acceleration and allow the lorry to maintain a constant speed.

Do you need constant force to produce constant speed?

Constant forces provide a constant speed. This is true on a basic physics level, you could argue and bring up examples but this is PHYSICS, it doesn't deal with real life. It's all mirrors and forces.

Objects moving at a constant speed in a straight are said to be in?

Objects moving at constant speed in a straight line are said to be in equilibrium. That is there is no force acting on them. If a force was acting there would be aceleration and the velocity would change.

Does an object moving in a constant speed in a straight line have any forces acting on it?

It will have zero force BUT, it WILL have a constant velocity

If an object is moving at a constant speed in one direction what is needed to change the speed direction?

To change the speed or direction of an object moving at a constant speed, an external force is required. This force can come from a push, pull, or any other interaction that can accelerate or decelerate the object in a different direction.

The net force on an object moving with constant speed in circular motion is in which direction?

The net force on an object moving with constant speed in circular motion is directed towards the center of the circle. This force is called the centripetal force and is required to keep the object moving in a circular path instead of moving in a straight line.
