I have watched everything. Tadase hates Ikuto because he thinks Ikuto killed Betty, his dog. He also changed his Grandma, perhaps even "stole" the dumpty key. Ikuto betrayed them, but in the end, Tadase and Amu see what he really wanted. He actually left them to go on a journey to find his father with Tsukasa, but later is taken by Easter. Ikuto is forced to everything, and obeys to protect Utau and his mother. Ikuto did not kill Betty, Betty was sleeping. She was an old dog and died. Grandma actually just fell and was never same. The dumpty key was actually Ikuto's father's, but Tadase's father had it. It says that all Ikuto wanted was for Amu to embrace all his sadness, everything. And Amu did in the end. I hope that helped, and wasn't too much of a spoiler.

Yes Ikuto and Amu do get together as written in Shugo Chara! Encore! They do have immense feelings for each other, and Ikuto promises Amu that he will return for her when she is an adult. He seals the promise with a kiss on her nose.

But...I realize that it's not about winning or losing. At that moment...I understood Ikuto-nii-san's feelings to be proud to protect you... Amu-chan. I'm always..right here for you." [From Mangafox; Volume 10, Chapter 42, Page 21] As Ikuto was leaving, he told Amu he will make her fall in love with him.
