Why is Darry so worried when Ponyboy tells him he has a dream the other night?

He was concerned because Pony had just been through way too much with Johnny killing the Soc and the fire at the church and johnny getting really hurt. Pony wasn't himself and he had been emotionally shook by the events that had taken place so Darry was worried he's be too weak to fight and he didn't want him to get hurt.

∙ 14y agoBecause, he only has the nightmares when things are bad, like after their parents died. and, in this case, after he got back from Windrixville, and Johnny was in the hospital. reality hit them, like 'oh my gosh, this really is bad.' and it was, which was cause for worry.
