Why is Darth Vader bad?

That depends on your definition of "bad." Even though Anakin had a short temper and lust for power, he was easily manipulated into thinking being evil would solve all his problems. But he wasn't completely evil. Or else, if he was, he wouldn't have saved his son knowing that doing so would be sacrifice

Anakin wasn't born evil. But he was easily manipulated into joining the Dark Side. He had a vision that his wife was going to die in childbirth, and he was desperate and willing to do whatever it took to make sure that wouldn't happen, so he joined the Dark Side. But despite his efforts, his wife did die in childbirth and that only made him fall even more

yes and no he was evil by killing his wife and turning to the darkside he was good by helping luke beat the emmporer and not killing luke

because Darth sidious took him from his homeworld of iridonia as a child an put him through harsh training and instilled alot of hatred within him. basically Darth sidious made him evil.
