In Twilight, he saves Bella from James, a nomadic vampire that insists on drinking Bella's blood. In New Moon, Edward Anthony Masen Cullen saves Bella from the Volturi. In Eclipse, he saves her from Victoria and Riley. In Breaking Dawn, he saves Bella from the most terrifying experience: death. So, he changes her into a vampire. Obviously, Edward Cullen is a very cute vampire with bronze hair and honey eyes. Im sorry if I answered things you already knew or you didnt care about, but I know everything about Twilight Saga and I am the closest to Bella you can get. One general reason to why Edward Cullen is attractive is in his nature: he's a vampire. And people are entranced by vampires because they are both incredibly beautiful and intelligent (most of the time anyway). They are fascinating because they're immortal as well. We all fear death in some small corner of our minds and we try to avoid thinking about it or otherwise we wouldn't be able to function properly in society. So a very popular way to avoid thinking about it is to dream that it doesn't exist. Besides if you're immortal you would have all the time you want to do whatever you wanted: study, explore, travel, create; Anything really. Because vampires are both attractive and immortal there has to be a balancing characteristic. People wouldn't be attracted by the myths if there wasn't something negative in all the positive. Here it is killing: the deadly thirst that makes a vampire's life so difficult.

In Edward Cullen's case we have to talk about love. The main theme of the book is that eternal love and soul mates exist. On one hand we all want to be loved forever, unconditionally. But on the other hand: if that someone comes and tell you they will love you for all eternity it would make you feel trapped, wouldn't it? As if they were expecting the same from you: the same commitment. This, at least, to me sounds frightening and makes me feel trapped. This is be cause I know that people change in time and most often, they develop in different, completely incompatible directions. This makes an eternal relationship impossible. And besides who is able to really promise they can love someone forever?

When it comes to the relationship between Edward and Bella... well, neither of them has that problem. In the end they are both immortal, have the same visions and the same desires. They are madly in love with one another. It is easy for reader to see that they both love each other with the same level of intensity that wouldn't ever go away. It is strengthened by physical, intellectual, and mystical attraction (her scent, his powers). It is hard to put it in words really. But it's the dream relationship.

At the same time, Bella isn't exactly perfect. She has plenty of issues which makes young girls feel better in their own skin. It tells them that if indecisive clumsy Bella can end up with a dream guy than they could too.

As a whole it is a character that appeals to the romantic nature in most girls: he's understanding, loving, caring, responsible, intelligent, beautiful, gifted in any possible way. He's perfect and so different from the boys these girls meet in their everyday lives.

No, the reason is because we think they're exciting because come vampires are. But the book makes teens and even me think that One day i will get loved like that and there's a big chnace more than half of us wont! So yeah we want to beleave it but we know we will never get it.

Well, that is kind of true, but he was born in 1901 and became a vampire in 1918. So, yes, he does have a lot of time on his hands. Hahaha. =] And, he was also pretty intelligant in his own time too. Probably how he got into Harvard University! =]

in breaking dawn when Bella is a vampire, edward explains that because he has nobody to, ahem... break headboards and bite pillows with at night, he spent all his time studying and playing the piano. But now he has Bella.

(These are all my personal opinions) -he's mysterious (he dosent say much) -and he has blonde hair that you would imagine is cool -and he had a wierd disability which makes him desirable, because it's so hard for him to do things normally or something -He's old and experienced/he's a gentleman to ladies -When he does talk it's usually thought about and 'wise' -he has cool scars all over him -and maybe because he's loving to Alice but they dont flaunt their love Another answer: When a human is converted into a vampire, they go throught some physical changes.
