"Better" is not really an appropriate word here. Depending on what you're looking for, either of them might be "better" than the other one at that particular application.
Any exposure to radiation isn't great for you. I recommend to only get one if you really need one.

A bone scan, or x-ray is simply a different type of scan than an MRI. No kind of scan is better than another, it simply depends what the scan is trying to ascertain.
