because it is the fastest way to measure in very long distances for example earth to other far away planets
Because the distances are so incredibly far that to express them in miles or (god forbid) feet, inches etc would be incomprehensible. It would just be a wall of numbers. The closest star to our solar system is about 4 and a half light-years. Or roughly 50 trillion miles. To travel on earth as far as it is to get to the nearest star (out of about 300 billion stars in our galaxy alone) you would have to go around the world roughly 2 billion times. So rather than saying a galaxy is 9,394,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles away, they say it's X number of astronomical units, or X amount of lightyears away.
Some test instruments used in electronics are:Multimeter - Used to measure voltage, ampere and resistanceOscilloscope - Used to measure frequency and oscillations
Shrinking Universe
In the tangent universe he had increased strength, ability to manipulate water/fire, and telekinesis. He used these powers to save the universe. He is not just a hero, but a superhero.
to measure the perimeter we need a figure with boundaries and all the sides with dimensions
They use lightyears and AU (Astronomical Units). They use kilometers, AU's and light years!! *Parsecs are also commonly used

Lightyears and miles
furlongs, miles, kilometres, lightyears etc.
You can measure very large distances, such as the size of the observable universe or distances between galaxies, using yottameters. This unit of measurement is rarely used in practical applications due to its extremely large scale.
lightyears
A Parasec is not the largest unit of measurement for the distance in the universe. A hubble is equal to many parsecs Therefore, hubble is the biggest Unless you use yottahubble (1 septilllion hubbles) A parsec is not in fact a real unit. it was made by star wars. :D :P
Light years are a unit of distance that represents how far light travels in one year, approximately 5.88 trillion miles (9.46 trillion kilometers). They are used to measure vast distances in the universe, such as the spaces between stars and galaxies, because these distances are often too large to be conveniently expressed in miles or kilometers. For example, when astronomers say a star is 4 light years away, it means that light from that star takes 4 years to reach Earth. This method allows for a clearer understanding of the scale of the universe.
Lengths or distances.
It depends on what you are trying to measure. Long distances usually are measured in miles. Survey distances usually are measured in feet.
