because it is an alternating wave and it has no dc value on it.In RC circuit the capacitor blocks only dc values and it allows all ac values so the wave shape is preserved

What is linear waveshaping?

The process of changing the shape of a non-sinusoidal signal by passing it through the network consisting of linear elements is called "Linear Waveshaping"

Why does a phase shift occur in a ce transistor?

In any transistor circuit , there is a phase shift. It takes a finite time for the controlling signal, usually on the base connection, to have an effect on the circuit and cause a change to the output. The shape of the signal remains but it is shifted in time (phase). The difference varies by configuration. It can be as much as180 degrees if the circuit is inverting the signal. The addition of passive components add to the shift.

What is it called to alter a shape?

deform

Does the tailor will have to alter his pants make sense?

Yes because alter means " to shape "

Why alternate current is taken as sinusoidal wave why not ramp or step wave?

sinusoidal Wave is the description of the shape that is seen on a oscilloscope display of, for example, true "House Current" The ramp wave form and step wave form are sharply different in shape and can cause problems with some electrical devices

What is the definition of wavelenghth?

In physics, the wavelength of a sinusoidal wave is the spatial period of the wave-the distance over which the wave's shape repeats.

Why clipper circuit is use?

A: SIGNAL could overshoot a value which can damage the input or output therefore a diode is used to clip these signals to a safe level

How are translation and rotation the same?

They do not alter the size nor the angles of the shape.

Explain about the effect of the time constant RC in envelope detector?

The circuit that generates signal having the shape like imaginary curve is called an envelope detector. The effect of the time constant RC in envelope detector is that the output follows the input curve and the circuit performs like a demodulator.

How do avalanches alter the shape of the earth?

they alter the earth by moving around and just shaping it in different ways. like when they move, the earth changes.....

If you were to plot the position of the sun in the sky everyday at exactly the same time what shape would result?

It depends on when that time is, what part of the year and where you are on Earth. The shape will range from a point to a circle, to a sinusoidal wave to a flat line.

What is meant by Repetition rate of an AM envelope?

Repetition rate of an AM envelope refers to the frequency of the modulating signal thus the shape of the envelope is identical to the shape of the modulating signal.
