Why should people donate to charities?

because it is human nature to try and do good, and in donating to charity we are fulfilling one of the functions of our lives and getting, in return, enormous staisfaction. why on earth shouldn't we?

Good charity makes a difference by helping others and changing peoples lives for the better. It's a selfless act, with rich reward and I don't mean financial gain! We must be more charitable to one another in order to co exist in peace and harmony

There are a variety of methods that charities use to collect money. They send out mailings to people and ask them to donate money. Some charities send people to go door to door, asking people for donations in person. Some charities station people on the street, to ask passers-by for money. Some charities arrange for fund raising events, often musical performances or lectures, or fund raising dinners, for which people buy tickets. Some charities sponsor lotteries, bingo games, or other forms of gambling. Some charities sell products such as T shirts (which are a favorite). Charities can also place ads on the radio, or on TV, or in newspapers, magazines, or web-sites, asking people to donate money.
