The Title "Eclipse" as well as the cover both refer to the story at this point. An "Eclipse" is when the moon veils the sun. The cover of a red ribbon being torn is the idea of Bella trying to tear away from her old life but there are always threads that tie her to her human life the main one is Jacob. The quote spoken by Jacob "I'm not going to cut you in half anymore, Bella." meaning he loves her enough to let her go. Hoped this helped

I think the title relates because Edward goes away and Jacob sort of covers him up, as it happens in an eclipse

When Edward comes back, Bella and Jacob grow apart. And Jacob is sort of ignored.

Jacob is the sun and Edward is the moon. Edward shadows over Bella and Jacob's friendship, because Edward and Jacob don't get along, just like an eclipse.

I believe it represents a total 100% change (in their beliefs) and is reflected in the fact that the two mortal enemies team up to fight a common enemy, which in turn will forever alter their future lives together.
