I think that it was because while he wanted to continue his exploration, his crew wanted to go home. And because Henry was captain and nobody else could give orders, the only way to go home was to get rid of him.

He was an Explorer who tried to make his way through a route to aisa. His ship went off course and landed in todays Hudson river. Later in the years after this act, Henry Hudson mysteriously dissapeared.
Henry Hudson's Leadership and Integrity Based on my findings, Henry Hudson was a good leader. The reason I feel he is a good leader is that the amount of people who trusted him to find the northwestern and the eastern route. They believed he could find these routes and wanted to hire Henry to do this because they knew he could lead these things. In my findings, He took many risks for the people who wanted him to explore for them. Henry Hudson was a good leader and he succeeded in many things. Henry Hudson did not accomplish what he set out to do with integrity though. He would not let his crew off of his ship when there was ice surrounding it, and he did not do what he was set out to do, his crew turned on him. Henry Hudson was very kind though. He was nice to the Native Indians and worked with them and traded things with them. He did treat his natives with kindness and respect, he showed them integrity and gratefulness, he traded with the natives and let them aboard of his ship, he was a leader for them and helped them. Henry Hudson had a lot of leadership to his natives and his crew.
He didn't find the river, but he sailed along the Hudson River, thinking it was the Northwest Passage, a water route to the Indies. He went there twice, and the second time his ship was froze during the winter. The crew was upset and sent Henry Hudson, his young son, and a few loyal men away in a boat. the reason they did this was because if they sailed back after killing Hudson, Hudson's son would tell on the crew. The crew didn't want to kill Hudson's son, though, so they sent them off in a boat. they were never seen again.
His crew members set him and 7 others off the ship to DIE!
Peter Minuit was a dutch explorer who founded Manhatten. He bought Manhatten from the Native Americans for $30 worth of beads trinkets and knives. What a rip off! Henry Hudson was an English explorer who founded Hudson bay.

To find a shorter route from Europe to Asia through the Arctic Ocean.
Life on the ship was hard, difficult and stressful. Whoever died was thrown off the ship, especially with the major diseases.
