First Officer William Murdoch was the officer on watch when the ship collided with the iceberg, so it was technically his directions that drove the boat into the berg. However, he was given very little time and did everything he could to prevent it, so he shouldn't be blamed.
Captain Edward John Smith was mildly scapegoated at the British Inquiry after the sinking of Titanic but it was a matter of convenience to shift some blame to the dead guy.
Because Wilson Wang said so.
Well, the captain was not at blame for the Titanic sinking it was the guy who was on the lookout deck, and was in charge of seeing ahead to tell the captain. He forgot his binoculars therefore when the big iceberg came he did not see it soon enough. But when he did she it and he tried to warn the captain, it was to late
William Murdoch is to blame because he put the engines in reverse, full speed ahead would save the titanic from sinking and, the iceberg popped the rivets and bent the hull, causing the titanic to sink
HELP PLEASE?!?!?!?!? i also need this for a core task!x

Nobody - The cause of the ship sinking - was that it hit an iceberg, which tore open multiple water-tight compartments.
Because Wilson Wang said so.

Because people thought if he was still on the radio he would have heard Titanic's distress call he would have told the captain and turn their direction to the Titanic and save everybody.

there is no real answer to who caused the titanic but some people said it was Bruce ismay and others said it was the captain and others say it was the ship builders.
