She was bad because as a child, her parents liked her sister better and she thought it was because she had a huge head. so she became bitter and wanted to beat her sister. she learned evil things instead of good, wouldn't trust anyone, and her sister got the throne instead of her. She took the crown by force, destroying a city, and says "i would rather be feared than loved"
