because of the rarity of their language, the chances of a Japanese code breaker speaking Navajo was pretty remote.

Were called the Navajo Code Talkers.
The Navajo Code Talker program was run by the US Marines. In WWII women were not allowed to join the Marines. The code used Navajo as a base but was encoded in that so a Navajo speaker could not understand it and would need to memorize the secret code to use it.
The Navajo indians were friendly up until you mistreat them or put their tribe in danger
I think they were used for their language. Since foreign countries/enemies did not know the Navajo language, the U.S. Marines used their language to develop a code to send important messages to each other. Another Navajo would decipher and deliver to an American. Even Navajo speakers could not understand the code which would sound like ungrammatical lists of words.. It could be used very rapidly , unlike code books or machines. It was used in the Pacific theater from 1942 onwards. It was also used in the Japanese Occupation and the Korean war. It was declassified in 1968. 29 original Navajo developed the code and about 400 learned and used it. Many other Navajo served in the US military. 44,000 native American Indians served in WWII

Many of the Navajo soldiers recruited by the marines were valued for their knowledge of their native language. They created what is known as the Navajo code which was successfully used to pass messages among American troops while they fought the Japanese in the Pacific. This continued on Iwo Jima. These men were also exceptional soldiers.

Navajo Indians were used in WW2 to transmit messages in their language which was very effective as a code. It was never broken.
I think you are talking about the Navajo code talkers by the Choctaw indians... These codes were never broken and used to secretly send messages.
The "Code Talkers" helped to confuse the Japanese by using the Native American's language to encrypt radio messages .
The Navajo Indians were recruited to send code in their language so the Japanese could never crack the code. I thought they should have used many of them in the European Theater too because the Germans were really good at cracking code.
lol they had to have had kids to make the adults of the Navajo Indians
You could be talking about the Navajo Indians or British Intelligence / Bletchley Park.
NAVAJO,
