Many Indains died out. There are several answers to the question-when the colonists arrived they brought with them more than themselves they brought dieseases. Through contact and the poor hygenie of the colonists, the Indians became sick and perished. It is estimated that 90% of Indians died from old world sicknesses. The colonists would sometimes give the Indians blankets that had the germs on them that caused the sickness giving them the sickness. The Indians usually had tension with the settlers over matters like land and food. The Indians were used as slaves sometimes and died due to neglect. -Roundrupert
