Many of the female passengers refused to leave the Titanic because they either thought it was wrong to leave the men or they were so devoted to their men that they wouldn't not leave them to die when they knew that this was exactly what would happen when they left. Many of the women believed it better to die WITH their men as well, instead of dying alone or leaving the men to die alone.
It was considered dishonourable for men to escape life-threatening situations while women and children were still endangered. The honourable thing was to see that the women and children reached safety before the men tried to save themselves.
No one thought that the Titanic could sink so they only but few life boats. When it crushed, only woman and children were allowed to get on life boats. Even one else (which was most of them) that didn't get on one know that they would eventually drown, so instead so jumping to they'er death, they satyed on the ship.
Women and children were loaded into lifeboats before men, but many married women didn't want to leave their husbands.
because of the different classes and certain people were allowed off first
The water was about 20 degrees at the time. To cold to do anything.
Well, people stayed on the Titanic because there wasn't enough lifeboats. If you've read about it, you'd remember the the crew saying "women and children first."
Because they couldn't
Hundreds of women survived. All told stories. "Yes we all know a lot of women survived but the the woman we are talking about is the story teller of the movie - Rose Dawson". x.o.x.o. T. SORRY, She was fictional. As was the story.
At about 12:10 a.m Captain Smith told Jack Phillips, titanic's wireless operator, to send out distress signals. The Olympic, the Frankfurt, and the Carpathia responded. Carpathia was the closest and Carpathia told Captain Smith it was 58 miles (93 km) away.
it went around the world in the news and news paper.
Because people thought if he was still on the radio he would have heard Titanic's distress call he would have told the captain and turn their direction to the Titanic and save everybody.
jack told rose to stay close and hold her breath
Women and children first or get on your life boatsIf I was a passenger on the titanic I would probably be told, ABANDON SHIP!! ABANDON SHIP, YOU ARE ALL GOING TO DROWN IF YOU STAY ON BOARD!!!! Then, I would start running and pushing towards the nearest non-sinking boat. I would also drag along my boyfriend so we wouldn't end up like the couple in the movie Titanic with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. :0)

A lady
Women are an accesory to men. For example in when curley told his wife to leave and go back to the house she replied no you are not on control of me, but then she left, because he was the ruler of her.

The most told reason why people take artifacts from the Titanic is because artifacts help archaeologists see what life was like in the time of the Titanic
rose told the story
They told the titanic passengers NOT to worry it was just a drill, although they skipped their actual drill this was NO drill.
I am told it has something to do with the fact that women/children have already left on vacation and that day is when the mean leave.
he was told not to
