because the PS2 is not meant to play DVDs it says it is but really...the DVDs are MUCH too hard on the laser for it to be handled frequently so when your PS2 stops playing DVDs STOP trying,..youre on the verge of ruining the PS2 for good!

Hi For a start are the games you are referring to playstation format because ps2's only play ps1 and ps2 games if it is ps2 format check the disc is in good condition if its badly scratched it wont play or you ps2 could be broken therefore i suggest you get a cheap replacement of just the console. they do but they will not play any new dvds that came out a year after the play station was made because the DVD dater has been changed and the play station will not be able to play any new dvds but it can still play all the old ones.
