The traction light is on becasue there is no communication between the traction control and the ABS. You will need to check the ABS sensor which is probably damaged or need cleaning. The spanner light normally means go to workshop as there are some problems with the engine electric. The spanner light could be on because the traction light is on. Once the traction issue is sorted, the light should come on automatically. If the spanner light is on on its own or has been on before the traction light then probably the oxygen sensor needs changing.

What is the difference between traction motor and general motor?

A series motor is employed for traction application which has starting torque and permits intermittent operations by braking, which cannot be expected of a general purpose motor.

What does throttle position sensor have to do with enhanced traction system?

The throttle position sensor is used by the computer to know when you accelerate or decelerate and how much, or for that matter if the throttle is static or has gone to idle. The enhanced traction system would use that information as well as information from various other sensors to know how to react to any given situation.

When enough force is applied to break traction the car will do until traction is restored?

When enough force is applied to break traction, the car will typically slide or skid in the direction of the applied force. This loss of traction can lead to oversteering or understeering, depending on the vehicle's dynamics and the conditions of the road. Once traction is restored, the car will regain control and resume stable handling. Proper steering and throttle management can help in regaining traction more effectively.

What if my traction system light and abs light goes on at the same time and there is resistance in the brake pedal som of the time?

Your front rotors are probably shot, they have a sensor in them that controls the traction light. I just had mine replaced on my 2002 because the traction light would come on for no reason, just sitting at a stop light and pulling out, backing up. Does not do it now since I had them replaced!

What is saltation and traction?

Saltation is the process of small particles being lifted and transported by wind or water in short, intermittent jumps. Traction refers to larger particles being rolled or dragged along by wind or water. Both processes are important in the transportation of sediment in natural environments.

What is tcs in a car?

TCS stands for Traction Control System; this reduces loss of traction (when cornering, for instance), usually by adjusting the throttle and shunting power from the slipping wheels to those with grip. It can be known by several different names depending upon the manufacturer.
